The shell head comprises an explosive charge surrounded by a fragmentation casing (2). Between the casing and the explosive charge (3) is an explosive charge layer (1) provided with an ignition point (4). The sensitivity of the explosive charge layer and the intensity of the ignition point are matched so as to only cause a detonation in the explosive charge layer while the part directly near the explosive charge is initialized for detonation.
