PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To select one of a plurality of functions of signal processes of a signal processing apparatus and to utilize the selected function. SOLUTION: When an algorithm bay 12 is connected to the signal processing apparatus 11 in a first connection form, a selector section 34 of the algorithm bay 12 selects a first function provided by a first function providing section 32 as a function for the signal processing of the signal processing apparatus 11 and revises the function of the signal processing into the selected first function. On the other hand, when an algorithm bay 12 is connected to the signal processing apparatus 11 in a second connection form, the selector section 34 of the algorithm bay 12 selects a second function provided by a second function providing section 33 as a function for the signal processing of the signal processing apparatus 11 and revises the function of the signal processing into the selected second function.
