PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that a receiving device for a digital broadcast which transmits program information by adding a reception target area code cannot watch and listen to program information for a present reception area, and watches and listens to program information of a wrong area when a user moves by a traffic or the like. SOLUTION: A reception area detector 200 automatically detects a reception area corresponding to a present location. If a program which is watched and listened to is selected by a remote control operation or the like of a user, an EPG processor 140 instructs a reception broadcast service by outputting a service identification for specifying a broadcast service of the program to a program selector 160. The program selector 160 interprets each program information described in PMT, and extracts a reception target area. Based on the reception target area, the program selector 160 selects only the program information in which the present reception area detected by the reception area detector 200 is included in the reception target area, instructs a demultiplexer 110 a stream form descriptor or the like of the program information, and decodes the obtained program information by a decoder 120.
