PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the power consumption of facsimile equipment with a cordless telephone in a standby mode. SOLUTION: The facsimile equipment with the cordless telephone is equipped with a cordless telephone part, an interface part which connects with a telephone line, a facsimile communication start signal detection part which detects a facsimile start signal, and a control CPU for both operation and non-operation modes and further equipped with a control means which performs control so as to enter the non-operation mode in the standby state.
