PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication adapter in which convenience is more improved. SOLUTION: The communication adapter is arranged among a wired communication line LINE, an extension telephone set TEL and an external mobile telephone set MOUT and is configured to enable the external mobile telephone set to be connected with the extension telephone set TEL or the wired communication line LINE via a mobile telephone set MIN of the communication adapter. The communication adapter is provided with: transmitting and receiving circuits TX and RX for exchanging audio signals with the radio telephone set MIN of the communication adapter; a first call circuit 1 for connecting the wired communication line LINE with the transmitting and receiving circuits TX and RX; a second call circuit 2 for connecting the extension telephone set TEL with the transmitting and receiving circuits TX and RX; and a control circuit 3 for controlling respective parts of the device, and within the first call circuit 1, a DTMF receiver 8 is provided for recognizing '#' in a DTMF signal outputted from the extension telephone set.
