PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hard disk drive provided with a disk protector and a magnetic head protector. SOLUTION: The hard disk drive includes: a housing 110 having a base plate 111 and a cover plate 112; a spindle motor 130; a rotating data storage disk 120; an actuator 140 having a magnetic head installed on the base plate 111 freely turnably and to write/read data to/from the disk 120; at least the one disk protector that is installed on an upper surface of the base plate 111 and/or a lower surface of the cover plate 112 and protrudes to a predetermined height toward the magnetic disk at a position corresponding to an edge portion 123 of the magnetic disk where data are not recorded; and the magnetic head protector that protrudes to a predetermined height toward a suspension in a parking zone 121.
