PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing technology capable of matching the color tones of image output apparatuses at a proper level set by a user depending on the combination of the image output apparatuses and the purpose of use.

SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus for converting input color data into color signals for the image output apparatuses includes: a unified degree setting means for setting the unified degree of color tones among a plurality of the image output apparatuses; a first color conversion means for applying color conversion processing to the input color data in common to a plurality of the image output apparatuses based on the unified degree; and a second color conversion means for converting the color signal converted by the first color conversion means into the color signal for the image output apparatuses. The first color conversion means includes: a first color conversion processing section 21 for converting the input color data into color data within a virtual reference color reproduction range; and a saturation conversion section 22 for compressing the saturation component included in the color data within the virtual reference color reproduction range depending on the unified degree. The second conversion means includes a second color conversion processing section 23.
