<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize the function of a network remote debug without preparing for any protocol exclusive for debug in network peripheral equipment having a debug function from a serial port and the function of an SNMP protocol for network management. <P>SOLUTION: A debug command for a serial port is received in the form of the GET command or GET NEXT command of the SNMP protocol, and it is interpreted and executed.
