DRIVING DEVICE, SHEET PROCESSING DEVICE HAVING THE DRIVING DEVICE, IMAGE FORMATION DEVICE PROVIDED WITH THE SHEET PROCESSING DEVICE, AND CONTROL SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving device, a sheet processing device having the driving device, an image formation device provided with the sheet processing device, and a control system, wherein even under abnormal conditions, system down is prevented and reduction in the productivity of the system is suppressed; a failure in a driving means due to sheet jam and failure in the driving means itself can be discriminated from each other by simple control; and thus a service cost can be reduced.

SOLUTION: The sheet processing device comprises a conveying means for output paper; an aligning means for the output paper; a stapler; a moving means for the stapler; a bundle discharging means; a stack means; a plurality of driving means/malfunction detecting means/ current setting means; and a control means for controlling them. The control means is provided with a function of setting the total value of currents applied to a plurality of the driving means. The control means sets the speed of a driving means which has been out of order to the extent that the speed is not lower than a minimum speed value. The control means increases the speed of the other driving means selected in the order of priority to the extent that an allowable maximum speed value is not exceeded. Then, the control means increase a set current value according to the speed setting.
