PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera which obtains an image data to show a photographed object image by imaging the photographed object image on a solid imaging element, reduces number of parts and has a hood. SOLUTION: The hood 23 to cover an image displaying board 20 with free switching has a thin-walled portion 2313 extending toward right and left along an upper margin of the hood 23 and covers the image displaying board 20 at any of openable/closable modes by rotating it positioning the thin-walled portion 2313 at its center. The hood 23 extends between each side board 232 pairing each side margin of right and left of a shielding board 231, and covers the image displaying board 20 from right and left when the shielding board 231 to act as a visor for the image displaying board 2313 at opening. A pair of side boards 232 and the shielding board 231 open the image displaying board 20. The hood has a thin-walled portion 2332 for folding. The hood 23 is integration-molded with a pair of blade portions 233 to be stored between the image displaying board 20 and the shielding board 231, by being folded up by the thin-walled portion 2332 for folding according to a motion of the shielding board 231 to cover the image displaying board 20.
