<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a miniature bulb using a light-emitting diode which readily responds to the polarities of power source terminals of lighting equipment to emit light, and a socket for the miniature bulb. <P>SOLUTION: A light-emitting part 2 is covered with a translucent cap 1 and has an insertion part 9 detachably fitted to a U-shaped groove 12 of a fitting body 15 of the socket 3. An anode-side terminal 10 and a cathode-side terminal 11 of the light-emitting diode 4 provided at the light-emitting part 2 are interchangeably connected to a (+)-side contact 13 and a (-)-side contact 14 of the socket 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
