摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust the received data quantity of a communication apparatus, corresponding to the processing capability of an upper layer, in making communication by using an SSCOP (service-specific connection oriented protocol) defined in the ITU-T Recommendations. <P>SOLUTION: This communication system is provided with a first communication apparatus (2) for sequentially transmitting SD-PDUs (service data-protocol data units) in accordance with the SSCOP, and a second communication apparatus (1) for sequentially receiving the SD-PDUs in accordance with the SSCOP. The apparatus (2) includes the upper layer (5), and a receiving section (4) for sequentially receiving the SD-PDUs and transferring them to the layer (5). The layer (5) applies predetermined data processing to each of the SD-PDUs, and transmits a confirmation signal (CNF), for informing the completion of the processing to the section (4) every time the data processing is completed. The section (4) generates data for adjusting the number of subsequent SD-PDUs, in response to the signal (CNF), and transmits the data to the apparatus (2). The apparatus (2) adjusts the number of subsequent SD-PDUs, in response to the data for adjusting the number of subsequent SD-PDUs. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p>
