PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To permit installation only with a legitimate product and to prevent installation with a sub master which is illegally copied, so that a copyright protection for software is realized and damage caused to software industry is prevented. SOLUTION: If one tires to provide a dummy file on a master CD-ROM 101 to make a copy directly on a CD-ROM 102, he/she cannot make the copy because the capacity of the CD-ROM is exceeded. Even if he/she tries to make a copy via a work disk once, the capacity is exceeded, resulting in preventing the copy. A master flexible disk 201 is applied with a special format, which is not reflected on a copied flexible disk 202, so that the disk cannot be used as a legitimate master flexible disk.
