PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and system for multimedia presentation capable of easily and freely combining a plurality of different media (BGM, narration, and still pictures) and easily correcting and revising the combination and timing or the like. SOLUTION: The method and system for multimedia presentation generates in advance an image cast including identification information of image data (still pictures), a sound cast including identification information of first sound data (narrations) and a start time of sound production, and a table for describing access information of second sound data (BGM) and its start time and stores them on a recording medium. The method and system reads the image data and the first sound data according to the identification information of the image cast and the sound cast, reads the second sound data according to the access information of the table, displays the still pictures according to the start times and outputs the narrations and the BGM.
