<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte cell using fluid, gelled, or polymeric nonaqueous electrolyte of which, increase in the internal resistance is restrained by restraining the reaction between the nonaqueous electrolyte and a negative electrode, with excellent preservability and charging and discharging property. <P>SOLUTION: The nonaqueous electrolyte cell comprises a positive electrode, a negative electrode made of a material capable of storing and releasing lithium such as lithium metal, lithium alloy, or carbonaceous material containing lithium, and nonaqueous electrolyte.
