PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a circular facsimile machine capable of declaring different reception modes. SOLUTION: In the case of receiving an incoming call, the facsimile machine capable of ring type broadcast communication detects a sender telephone number, and when the destination indicates a destination of a group for performing ring type broadcast transmission, the facsimile machine declares a reception mode wherein no size conversion and no resolution conversion are required, when the destination indicates no destination of a group for performing ring type broadcast transmission, the facsimile machine declares another reception mode wherein optimum reception capability is in use.
