PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of efficiently updating a file in a system which duplex configuration and single configuration exist mixedly. SOLUTION: A preliminary system of a processor of a class A processor group 103 which is a duplex configuration part is separated from the system to stop the duplex processing, and the preliminary system is updated in a new file. At the time, a common system is operated in a former file before updating. When it is confirmed that no error is found in operation of the preliminary system, the class A processor group 103 restarts duplex processing. After that, the file of a processor of a class B processor group 104 which is the single configuration part is updated. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
