<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light guide with highly efficient use of light, an lighting device provided with it and a display device. <P>SOLUTION: An incident plate 121 receiving light emitted from a light source 110, an emitting plane 125 emitting light made incident from the incident plane 121, and a prism plane 126 facing the emitting plane 125, are provided. The lighting device is comprised of a first light guiding layer 120a including the prism plane 126, and a second light guiding layer 120b including the light emitting plane 125 and facing the first light guiding layer 120a.
