PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reproducing apparatus for reproducing a video information signal that realizes smooth analog extension of only a particular position in a displayed video image in response to the designation by a user and smooth as the slow reproduction. SOLUTION: A plurality of video information signals whose spatial resolutions differ from each other and whose video contents are the same are recorded on a recording disk medium in a manner that the video information signals with the higher spatial resolutions are recorded at the circumferential position outer than the video information signals low in spatial resolutions.
