PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reader and an image read method which can suppress misjudgment of a color at a color border, and to provide an image read control program and a recording medium therefor. SOLUTION: Respective LEDs 6 of R and G are turned on to read a (3n-2)th line, LEDs 6 of G and B are turned on to read a (3n-1)th line, and LEDs 6a of R and B are turned on to read a (3n)th line. In an image read method like this, coloration of a black-and-white border is dispersed into colors of R, B, and B and then suppressed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
