STYLUS FOR ULTRASONIC DETECTION DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stylus to be used in an ultrasonic detection device for performing a normal pen input to realize a handwriting input with satisfactory resolution.

SOLUTION: This stylus is configured of a nib part 32 including ultrasonic absorbing materials for absorbing ultrasonic waves to be detected and a hard bar-shaped part 33 equipped with the nib part. The nib part is constituted of a core part 34 formed of ultrasonic absorbing members and a contact part 35 coated with metal being non-ultrasonic absorbing members on the peripheral face of the core part. Furthermore, the whole nib part may be formed of the ultrasonic absorbing materials. The ultrasonic absorbing materials in an amount for making it possible to detect sliding and ultrasonic absorption for a panel are used for the nib part.
