PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus and an image data delivery method capable of encryption immediately after imaging so as to surely exclude a room for browsing, copy, and edit of an image or the like and to simplify the encryption. SOLUTION: This invention can establish the compatibility between the assurance of security and the enhancement of operability because correction information for particularizing a defective pixel is employed for information unique to a digital camera used for an encryption key and a person cannot browse selected image data so long as the digital camera 10 producing the selected image data is not connected to a PC120, and on the other and, the automatically encrypted image data are decoded so that the image data can be browsed when the digital camera 10 generating the selected image data is connected to the PC120.
