PURPOSE: A brake vapor lock control device and method for a vehicle is provided to let a driver know the state of a brake of the vehicle before a sponge phenomenon occurs and automatically prevent the sponge phenomenon although the vehicle runs. CONSTITUTION: A brake vapor lock control device for a vehicle comprises a vehicle motion state-detecting unit(100) detecting the changes of such vehicle motion states as a brake liquid temperature state, a brake liquid pressure state, and a brake pedal switch state; an engine control unit(200); and a driving unit(300) turning on/off a brake line by a control signal output from the engine control unit, and driving a vacuum pump and turning on/off a warning lamp. The engine control unit receives the brake liquid temperature, brake liquid pressure, and brake pedal switch states, turns on the warning lamp if the brake liquid is in an overheated state, and then measures and memorizes the inner pressure of a brake of the moment a driver doesn't use the brake and closes the overheated brake line and opens solenoid valves of other lines. The engine control unit collects the whole quantity of the brake liquid of the closed brake line by vacuum pressure and fills up new brake liquid by pre-memorized pressure, and makes the collected brake liquid flow into a brake liquid storage again, through a moisture and air filter.
