APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR EXAMINING CONVERGENCE ADJUSTMENT FUNCTION

PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for examining a convergence adjustment function are provided to automatize a process for examining a convergence adjustment function of a projection TV, thereby restraining human errors and improving the productivity. CONSTITUTION: A camera(302) photographs images displayed on a screen of a projection TV. An image grabber(304a) captures the images photographed by the camera. An IR(Infrared Ray) transmitter(304b) generates a control command provided to the projection TV. An I/O(Input and Output) interface(304c) executes interface with a position sensor. An image output unit(304d) generates video signals for displaying a progress of examination. A memory(304e) stores the captured pictures. A control unit(304f) captures and stores a start picture before convergence adjustment and a result picture after convergence adjustment. The control unit compares the pictures for deciding convergence adjustment.
