PURPOSE: A block lift device for a transfer press is provided to prevent a lift block from crashing into a stopper when the lift block is returned by operating the lift block with pneumatic pressure. CONSTITUTION: A lift block(33) is installed at a blank holder(11), and has a stopper groove(37) corresponding to a stopper(35) formed at one side of the blank holder. An actuator is fixed to the blank holder, and is connected to a mounting unit(41) formed at the lift block through a rod(45). An air compressor(53) is connected to the actuator by a plurality of pneumatic tubes(49,51). A panel sensor(59) is installed at the lift block, and detects a panel. A crank angle sensor(63) is installed at one side of a crank shaft(61), and detects crank angle. Solenoid valves(55,57) are installed at the pneumatic tubes, and open/close the pneumatic tubes. A control unit(65) receives signals from the panel sensor and the crank angle sensor, and controls the solenoid valves.
