<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple means for reducing deterioration in the quality of communication due to noise. <P>SOLUTION: A removable antenna element 4 for carrying out diversity communication in cooperation with a fixed antenna element 3 is removably provided to a case 2. Therefore, by installing the removable antenna element away from a noise source, both portability and the quality of communication can be established. Additionally, a cable 5 connected to the removable antenna element 4 being removed from the case 2 can be stored into the case 2, thus further improving the portability. A switch 2d for turning on and off power feed to the removable antenna element 4 via the cable 5 is turned off by the contact with the removable antenna element 4 stored into the case 2, thus preventing the power feed to the removable antenna element 4 from being kept on. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
