<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor driver which can reduce the capacity of a power source facility. <P>SOLUTION: In the motor drive receiving power from an AC power source for converting the power and supplying the power to a motor, power is supplied from an energy storage unit such as a battery or the like to an inverter circuit, and the power supplied from the energy storage unit is controlled to be the power from the AC power source or to be a predetermined value at its maximum, or not to exceed the predetermined value.
