PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To pasteurize a beverage without requiring pasteurization by chlorine and continuous use of an ultra-violet lamp. SOLUTION: In this beverage supplying device for supplying water via cistern 12 for storing the water temporarily, a flash lamp 25 for emitting flash light containing ultra-violet light is provided in the cistern 12, and the water in the cistern 12 is pasteurized by the flash light from the flash lamp 25. The chlorine pasteurization is eliminated thereby to eliminate generation of residual chlorine, and a flavor of the beverage is thereby from being deteriorated. Since the flash lamp 2 is used not continuously but when necessary, a life of the flash lamp 25 is prolonged, and an electric power consumption is suppressed to reduce a running cost.
