PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the rise of the fraction defective of the product of a capacitor element and, in its turn, the rise of the manufacturing cost of the element by suppressing the rupture or peeling of the surface electrode of the element at heating. SOLUTION: The capacitor element is provided with a porous body 10 made of a valve-action metal powder, a projecting electrode 11 protruded from the porous body 10, and the surface electrode 12 covering the apparent surface of the porous body 10. In this capacitor element, the thickness t of the surface electrode 12 is set to≥35μm or to a value at which the impedance and dielectric loss of the element after flow soldering is performed (for 10 seconds at 260°C) may become two times or less as large as those before the flow soldering is performed. The surface electrode 12 is formed by heating conductor paste after the paste is applied to the porous body 10 so as to cover the apparent surface of the body 10. The thickness of the surface electrode 12 is adjusted by selecting the viscosity of the paste or the numbers of applying times and heating times of the paste. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
