PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an input image having the same image as an input image while block-transferring the input image differed in scanning direction from the output image. SOLUTION: A rectangular image inputted from an image input part 1 is divided and written in a block transfer memory 3, and then block-transferred from the block transfer memory 3 to a memory 6 by use of a DMAC 5. At this time, address operation is performed based on the scanning start points and scanning directions of the image input part 1 and the memory 6 in the DMAC 5 so as to have the same image as the rectangular image inputted from the image input part 1, and a transfer source address and a transfer designation address are generated.
