TDD CELLULAR COMMUNICATION SYSTEM, CHANNEL ASSIGNER, AND RADIO TERMINAL AND METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system, a channel assigner, and a radio terminal for improving the efficiency of utilization of communication resources in a TDD cellular communication system. SOLUTION: The TDD cellular communication system has the radio terminal which uses up and down channels to communicate with a base station, a radio controller for controlling the base station, and the channel assigner for assigning a channel to the radio terminal. The radio terminal obtains a measurement value of an interference level in a prescribed time slot reported from the channel assigner. The channel assigner assigns a channel for use in a prescribed time slot to the radio terminal on the basis of a result of comparison between the measurement value and a prescribed value. The up/down type of the channel for use in the radio terminal is different from that of channels for use in other radio terminals during the time slot. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
