4-(17alpha-Fluoroalkyl-17beta-hydroxy-3-oxo-estra-4,9-dien-11beta-yl)-benzaldoxime compounds (I) are new. 11beta-Benzaldoxime-steroid compounds of formula (I) and their salts are new; R1 = H, 1-6C alkyl, COR4, COOR4, COSR4 or CONHR4; R4 = 1-6C alkyl or optionally substituted aryl; R2 = H, 1-6C alkyl or 1-6C acyl; R3 = Rf or -CH2O-(CH2)n-Rf; n = 0 or 1; Rf = 1-3C perfluoroalkyl.
