PURPOSE: A method for driving a plasma display panel is provided to reduce the power consumption and improve the luminance by recycling the electric power without using an external capacitor. CONSTITUTION: The first and the second electrodes are maintained under the second and the first voltages by applying the electric power to the second and the third switching elements(S2,S3). The predetermined electric energy is stored in an inductor(L) by applying the electric power to the sixth switching element(S6). The second and the first voltages of the first and the second electrodes are changed to the first and the second voltages by intercepting the second and the third switching elements(S2,S3). The electric energy of the inductor(L) is transmitted to the first power supply unit by applying the electric power to the first and the fourth switching elements(S1,S4). The first and the second electrodes are maintained under the second and the first voltages by intercepting the sixth switching element(S6). The predetermined electric energy is stored in the inductor(L) by applying the electric power to the fifth switching element(S5). |
