PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for measuring a profile of a propeller are provided to precisely and rapidly determine fail of the propeller by using a measuring rod, which is freely moved in x, y and z-axis directions. CONSTITUTION: A propeller fixing member(7) is installed at one side of a base plate(8). A conveying screw(4) and a guide rod(5) are provided at an upper surface of the base plate(8). An x-axis conveying table(1x) is coupled to the conveying screw(4) and the guide rod(5). A z-axis conveying table is coupled to conveying screw(4) and the guide rod(5). A y-axis conveying table is coupled to conveying screw(4) and the guide rod(5). A distance measuring device(6) is installed at each of x, y, and z-axis conveying tables. A measuring rod(2) is mounted on the y-axis conveying table in such a manner that the measuring rod(2) makes contact with an outer portion and a front portion of a blade(50) of a propeller(100).
