<p>A color image creating device for smoothing inputted color image data. Color image data is divided into multi-level image data sets of multi-level image data representing the density value for each color; the pattern of a predetermined area including a pixel of interest to be smoothed out of the pixels concerning the multi-level image data is extracted for each color; when a correction by the binarization of the pattern, the smoothing of the pixel of interest, and the conversion of the pixel of interest into multi-level data is enabled by an external instruction, the density value after the correction about the pixel of interest is outputted; when a correction is disabled by an external instruction, the density value before the correction about the pixel of interest is outputted for each color; the color difference between the color tone after the correction calculated from the density values of all the color components after the correction and the color tone before the correction calculated from the density values of all the color components before the correction is calculated; it is judged that the correction is valid if the color difference is within a predetermined range and that the correction is invalid if the color difference is out of the range; and the result of the judgment is made an instruction.</p> |
