A stapler (1) comprising a retaining part (3) having a sheeting cutter (11), a section (9) for containing a needle (20), and a receiving base (5) for piercing a sheet material (60) with the needle (20) pushed out by means of the sheeting cutter (11) and then bending the leg part (23), and binding the sheet material (60) and the needle (20). The needle (20) comprises left and right shoulder parts (21) abutting against the sheeting cutter (11), leg parts (23) extending substantially perpendicularly from the shoulder parts (21) and a pattern part (27) having an arbitrary shape and provided between the left and right shoulder parts (21). The pattern part (27) is inclining against the leg parts (23) and the storing section (9) is provided, on one side thereof, with an opening (13), for taking out the needle (20), large enough to allow the pattern part (27) to pass.
