PURPOSE: A beverage such as a soft drink, fruit drink, sports drink, juices or the like prepared by using deep sea water drawn from a layer with a depth of 200 m or more below a sea level is provided. The beverage is rich in mineral salts and has low temperature stability and thus is effective in prevention of various diseases and maintaining good health. CONSTITUTION: Deep sea water of the East Sea located between the Korean peninsula and the Japanese islands, drawn from a layer with a depth of 200 m or more below a sea level is desalted and then used in the manufacture of a beverage in the range of 1 to 99% by weight, preferably 5 to 50% by weight.
