A depressurizing container (9) for glass panel, comprising an annular sealing part (10) allowed to abut on the surface of a plate glass (1) for sealing the clearance thereof from the plate glass (1) and an internal space (11) allowed to be depressurized, the sealing part (10) further comprising a metal contact end part (16) allowed to abut on the plate glass (1), a recessed groove (15) allowed to be depressurized provided on the outside of the contact end part (16), and a seal member (19) disposed on the outside of the recessed groove (15), wherein the sealing part (10) is allowed to abut on the periphery of a suction port (6a) for depressurization provided in the plate glass (1) forming a double glazing (P) and the internal space (11) is depressurized to depressurize a clearance part (V) of the double glazing (P) through the suction port (6a).
