Signal relay for monitoring electric consumer appliances with magnet coil structure permitting current flow of same power as flows through coupled consumer appliance

The relay magnet coil is so designed that it can be incorporated into consumer appliance. According to appliance connection to the coil, or not, the coil energizes two signal lamps via relay contacts to indicate the appliance switching state, or defect. Preferably, the signal lamps are LEDs with corresponding ballasts to reduce the signal current to a min. The relay may operate on DC or AC, with the signal lamps correspondingly dimensioned. The magnet coil may be so dimensioned as to provide negligible voltage loss.
