Rotary drum vacuum filter has a drum mounted in a tank and covered with a drainage cloth and a filter material. A relatively lowered pressure is applied to the inside of the material and a filter cake formed on it. A level control system maintains the liquid level in the tank at predetermined levels, whch vary between the level at which the filter surface is 70 - 90% immersed and that at which it is completely immersed. |
