The fastening device (1) for a tensioning cable has a wall mounting for a cable clamp and which is constructed as a mounting yoke (2) with a U-shaped cross section. The yoke accommodates a cover which with the yoke forms a tension bearing housing, and the sides (5) of the yoke form both the respective end boundaries of the tension bearing housing and also the abutment for the housing of the cable clamp. The sides of the yoke each have at least one hole (6) to selectively accommodate a fastening element or hollow spindle (10) provided on the clamp housing (9).
