The method has the connection provided between overlapping sections of the hollow profile (2) and the hollow component (3), by using a high internal fluidic pressure for provision of a common indent in the walls (12,13) of the hollow profile and the hollow component, which locks the overlapping sections together. The high internal fluidic pressure expands the cross-section of the hollow profile outwards from its circular shape in the connection zone (15) and forms pressed out surfaces (11) extending through the common indent.
