<p>Arc welding of bottom seams with blunt welds, by pressing against the bottom area of the workpieces away from the welding arc U-shaped components filled with welding powder, so that the welding material is applied by at east one melting welding electrode at the upper side of the workpieces, with simultaneous melting of the welding powder, with arc area using an open or covered welding arc to bring it into the seam. The melt bath is protected by the slag forming at the bottom, by heat being conducted away by the workpieces pressed against the bottom, and by the fact that when the welding arc burns through, the welding speed is decreased.</p> |
