<p>An apparatus for diagnosing the presence of venous disease in the lower extremities of a patient comprises a support for supporting the patient in an upright sitting position and a recumbent sitting position and plethysmographic means applicable to a distal leg portion. The support is disposed displaceable between these positions in either of which it can be secured. A corresponding method is also disclosed.</p> |
