PURPOSE: A retainer for settling a sun visor is provided to remove noise in settling with a sun visor fixing tube by the elastic force and rotation of a ball bearing by mounting the ball bearing at a retainer narrowly fitting part, easily detach, and prevent the droop of the retainer by installing a droop preventing device for using a plate member and a fixing pin in a retainer body part. CONSTITUTION: A retainer(30) for settling a sun visor is composed of a retainer body part(11) of which the upside is fixed to an upper roof panel(25) of a vehicle by at least one settling pin, forming a circular arc-shape narrow fitting part(26) to settle a sun visor fixing tube to the lower side of the retainer body part at a predetermined part; a leaf spring member(12) mounted and separated at the rear of the narrow fitting part in the retainer body part at regular intervals to the shape of the narrow fitting part; a ball bearing mounting part(23) arranged along the periphery of the leaf spring at predetermined intervals to protrude some portion of a ball bearing(17) inward the narrow fitting part of the retainer body part; and a retainer droop preventing device comprising a plate member(14) horizontally installed at the lower side of the roof panel, a fixing pin(15) settling the retainer body part to the roof panel by using the plate member, and a spring member(19) disposed between the bottom of the plate member and the fixing pin.
