PURPOSE: Provided is a method for manufacturing copper plates whose upper surface is oxidized in order to produce copper plates of which upper surface is etched to exhibit beautiful colors for used as roofing material in a short period of time. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises prominence and depression forming process of forming an irregular surface on the copper plate by rotating a brush roller on which sandpaper is radially installed of prominence and depression forming unit(10) in a direction opposite to a proceeding direction of the copper plate (CP) so that the upper surface of the copper plate is scratched by the brush roller when etching the copper plate by transferring the copper plate using transfer driving roller and transfer rollers in sequential transfer process as supplying and winding a roll type copper plate using supply roller(1a) and winding roller(1b); first washing process of washing the copper plate by spraying water onto the copper plate from water spray nozzles as removing foreign materials on the copper plate using the transfer driving roller and foreign material removing roller formed of cotton flannel vertically engaged with each other in first washing vat to remove foreign chips generated in the prominence and depression forming process; second washing process of washing the copper plate by spraying high pressurized water onto the copper plate from water spray nozzles slantly installed with being oppositely directed to each other on a pair of water supply pipes at the upper side as transferring the copper plate using the transfer rollers; etching treatment process of spraying etchant onto the upper surface of the copper plate (CP) through etchant spray nozzles installed on etchant pipes at the upper side of the copper plate as transferring the copper plate using the transfer rollers inside etching treatment vat(26); third washing process of washing the etchant out from the copper plate by spraying water onto the copper plate using water spray nozzles slantly installed with being oppositely directed to each other on a pair of the water supply pipes at the upper side as transferring the etched copper plate in third washing vat using the transfer rollers; and drying process of heating and drying the copper plate using a heater installed at the lower side of the copper plate as transferring the washing completed copper plate using the transfer rollers installed at drying part(29) so that brown oxidizing treated copper plate is manufactured by sequential transfer and etching treatment.
