A terminal strip assembly includes a set of terminal members 1a detachably secured to a terminal support bar 30, and a set of detachable partitions 1, one per terminal member, each having a recess with parallel slideways 3, 4 see also Fig. 1 (not shown), with further recesses 7, 8. A member (2), Figs. 1, 3 (not shown), is fixed to a side of each terminal member, and has parallel slideways, with bosses (5, 6) engaging the recesses 7, 8 to hold the partition in the engaged position. Guides 12, 13, fixed to the partition engage member (14), Fig. 4 (not shown), the partition thus being removable only in a direction perpendicular to the axis of the bar 30. Each terminal member comprises an insulating support block 17, upon which are mounted a connecting rod 15 for a terminal lug (not shown), and a cable grip 20. Each terminal member may have two partitions, Figs. 3, 4 (not shown), supporting transparent half-caps 24, 25 protecting the terminal, or a one piece cap may be used. Each partition may be curved,with its maximum width at the terminal positions, and may comprise a projection engaging a recess in the member (2).
