<p>1280490 Cooling cement clinker &c KLOCKNER - HUMBOLDT - DEUTZ AG 22 Oct 1969 [22 Oct 1968] 51832/69 Heading F4B In a shaft cooler for cement clinker from a rotary kiln 18 divided into two sections 1 by a central gas chamber 4 flanked by lateral gas chambers 3 both being formed with louvres 5, cooling air introduced into the lower part of the shaft by a ridged channel 11 passes in turn through a further ridged channel 9 leading to lateral chambers 3, across the sections 1 to central chamber 4 and through a ridge 16 into the incoming clinker, whereupon it is used as preheated combustion air in the kiln. Gas chambers 3 and 4 have dust collecting pockets 20 formed with removal device, e.g. flaps 21. The shaft wall section 22 shown by double hatching is made of material with a high thermal conductivity.</p> |
