RADIATOR DEVICE FOR TWO-WHEELED MOTOR VEHICLE

A radiator device of a two-wheeled motor vehicle comprising a water-cooled engine and a speed change device. The engine has a cylinder assembly that is mounted fixedly on a vehicle body lower part between a steering bar for steering a front wheel to the left and right and a driver's seat. The cylinder assembly is installed such that the axis line of the cylinder assembly is substantially horizontal and the front part of the assembly is inclined diagonally upward and forward. The speed change device is placed behind the engine and below the driver's seat in a connected row arrangement. The radiator device has a radiator core portion formed in a rectangular shape in cross section with the long sides directed vertically, an upper and lower pair of coolant tanks placed above and below the radiator core portion, and a coolant supply hose and a coolant return hose connected respectively to the coolant tank pair. The radiator device is so placed between the front wheel and the engine as to cover from the front a cylinder head of the cylinder assembly. One side of the radiator device in a left/right direction with respect to a vehicle advance direction is installed on the vehicle body through a swing shaft extending in an up/down direction and the other side of the radiator device in the left/right direction is made to be swingable toward the front about the swing shaft.
