The invention provides a graphics engine for receiving vector graphics commands and rendering image data for display pixels in dependence upon the received commands, wherein the graphics includes control circuitry or logic to read in one vector graphics command at a time, convert the command to spatial image information and then discard the original command. An electrical device incorporating the graphics engine and a memory integrated circuit having an embedded graphics engine are also provided.
